A knot is one international nautical mile per hour, equivalent to 1.852 km/h. These conversions do not account for acceleration or calculate a journey’s duration.

A speed of 1 meter per second is 3.6 kilometers per hour. Converting units changes how a speed is expressed; it does not calculate travel time.

A negative value can represent signed velocity in a chosen direction. Its sign is preserved; the converter does not infer a direction or a route.
