A closer look
Batch resizing fits different image shapes into a common bounding box while keeping each image’s proportions. A landscape and portrait photo can therefore have different final dimensions. Images are not enlarged beyond their original size. Every output is a PNG, preserving supported transparency and avoiding another lossy quality setting. Batch work happens sequentially to reduce peak memory use, with progress and cancellation available.
A practical example
Fit landscape and portrait photos inside an 800 × 800 box. A 1600 × 1200 photo becomes 800 × 600; a 1200 × 1600 photo becomes 600 × 800.
A useful tip
For email attachments, a box around 1600 by 1600 pixels is often more practical than full camera resolution.

Will all pictures have identical dimensions?
No. Width and height are maximum bounds. The original aspect ratio is kept and smaller pictures are not enlarged.
What is inside the ZIP?
One resized PNG per input, with numbered filenames to avoid duplicate names overwriting each other.
