How to use Image Rotator

A closer look
Rotation changes the direction of the picture and expands its canvas to keep the corners visible. Quarter turns swap width and height; custom angles can make the output larger and add transparent corners. The tool produces a new PNG rather than editing the file stored on your device. Very large rotated canvases are rejected to keep memory use reasonable.
A practical example
Turn a 1200 × 800 landscape photo by 90°. The new image is 800 × 1200 pixels, with the picture rotated rather than stretched.
A useful tip
For a sideways photo, start with a 90° turn. Use small custom angles to straighten a tilted picture.

Will part of my picture be cut off?
The canvas expands to contain the rotated picture, so it is not intentionally cropped.
What happens to the empty corners?
They remain transparent in the downloaded PNG.
